Well, Command hooks are your answer! Not only are they inexpensive, they come in all kinds of colors, sizes and strengths now, even for wet areas and outdoors, and they are easy to find and use.

But, they also work well for tight spaces where it is too difficult to use a hammer or even on delicate surfaces where a nail simply won’t work (like on tile, mirrors, or metal doors).
So, here are some fun new ways to put those Command hooks to good use!

I love Command hooks! As a renter, I have found them to be such a versatile product that is now used throughout my home. I use some for hanging measuring cups inside the kitchen cupboard, holding my quilting rulers on the side of my sewing table, on the sewing machine to hold my small snip scissors and one for the small quilting ruler, in the bathroom cupboard, and under the kitchen sink. Thanks so much for all these tips. They have saved so much space for me.
You’re welcome, Eugenia! Glad you found them useful!
Hi Pam, I LOVE your organizing tips. I love the command hooks, but they can get expensive when one is pinching pennies. Is there anything else that can be used instead of the Command Hooks?
Hi Brenda! Depending on how permanent your hangings will be, you can also use Velcro strips. I used big rolls of them from the dollar store, Wal-mart or Joann Fabrics (where I would use a coupon), etc. that had an adhesive back when I created my flannelboard pieces as a children’s librarian. It holds really well, but since it is an adhesive backing, it is hard to peel back off and could damage your surface. But the good thing is you can use exactly the amount you need because you cut it yourself, so there is no waste.
