Create bathroom sink storage with shower caddies.
For more bathroom storage use shower caddies, one on each side to hold items. If you designate one caddie just for cleaning supplies, you can just grab the whole caddie and have all of your supplies right with you to quickly clean all parts of your bathroom. Just make sure you use the kind that has a flat bottom so they stand upright, like this one.
Use stackable bins.
There are so many sizes of stackable bins out there. The dollar store usually has a great selection. I do recommend that you only get clear ones so you can still see what is inside them.
Here’s another example of stacking bins from Amazon. I’ve also seen them at the dollar store. Again, it is easy to grab one bin and take it to another space that is more convenient to work in (like storing your nail polish, clippers, file, and polish remover all in one bin).

Use storage drawers to create more bathroom sink storage.
Use inexpensive CLEAR storage drawers that keep medicines and toiletries neat and tidy, and you can still see what is in each drawer.
Magazine file box.
A great way to store your hair dryer, curling iron, or flat iron is in an inexpensive file box. They tuck nicely in the corner of the cabinet.
Here are other ways to use magazine boxes and other cardboard boxes for storage.
To create more bathroom sink storage don’t forget to use the doors!
Cut down a shoe bag and hang on the inside of the cabinet door for extra storage.

Use Command hooks.
Attach dollar store baskets to the door with Velcro or Command hooks to store all kinds of small items. At Dollar Tree, you can get 3 of these bins for $1.00. You can’t beat that!
What if you have a pedestal sink, you ask?
A simple solution is to put small cabinets and baskets on each side of the pedestal.
Make a skirt and then hide a set of rolling drawers underneath.
If you sew, you can tailor the skirt to fit and then attach it to the underside of the sink with Velcro. But if you can’t sew, you can just simply get a piece of material to fit and Velcro it to the underside of the sink. You can use fusible webbing (with an iron) to create a neat hem at the bottom of the skirt. Here are the directions from HGTV on how you can make a skirt.
You can purchase surround cabinets made to fit around an existing pedestal sink to create bathroom sink storage, as well.
Like this rolling chrome one with open shelves from Amazon:
And this amazing farmhouse one from Amazon with doors:
One thing I do want to caution you about is if you have small children in your home or as visitors, make sure you keep those under cabinet doors fastened while the kiddos are around so they can’t get into any dangerous chemicals or cleaners.
So, I hope you found some good ideas here. It really can be simple and inexpensive to organize and better use that forgotten space under the bathroom sink, and being better organized makes life less stressful!
Here are tips on how to organize your linen closet, too.

Hi I own an Inn in New Buffalo Michigan and am looking for more storage for my guests. I love the black shelving unit under the pedestal sink, however, I could not find it on the Ikea website. Do you know where I could find it? Thanks, Hope
Hello Hope!
You are right! I checked the Ikea link again as well, and I no longer see it, either. They must have discontinued it. I am so sorry! 🙁 I did try looking on Amazon because I have found they will carry Ikea items as well, but no luck there, either, which is sad because I really liked the wrought iron look. However, I did find a couple of different kinds of shelving units for pedestal sinks on the Amazon site. This one is chrome, but does have 2 shelves. Here’s the link: http://amzn.to/2gsw67S. The other is a vanity with natural wood shuttered doors. Here is the link to that one: http://amzn.to/2gs6yUQ. I will change that on my site.
Thanks for letting me know! Good luck and stay warm (I lived in the Thumb for 10 years and my hubby lived 2 years in Berrien Springs, so know all about Michigan winters, and am glad to be back in Florida) 🙂
