It’s Friday, so here are 5 ways to make your life easier, because, after all, don’t we spend enough of our weekends doing chores we HAVE to do when we’d rather be doing something fun, like sleeping in?
You can also click on the links with each tip to see other cleaning and baking tips, a delicious vintage cake recipe I got from my aunt and a fast way to make a catnip toy for your cat.
So, here we go:
1. Easy dusting.
Roll a piece of tape sticky side out around your hand to quickly dust lampshades.

2. How to easily butter a pan.
Cut a stick of butter or margarine in half and use it, still in the wrapper, to butter a pan. No greasy fingers!

3. Super easy catnip toy.
Stuff an old baby sock with cotton balls and fresh or dried catnip. Sew it shut and you have a new cat toy!
From the post: Cats are people, too.
4. Lazy (i.e. no-bend) way to spot clean kitchen floor.
Wet a paper towel, fold it over, and put it on the spot. Use the toe of your shoe to rub out the spot. It leaves no residue and it’s a great workout as you move the paper towel from spot to spot 😉

5. Save money and have an endless supply of lettuce.
Regrow lettuce (and carrots and celery, among other things) by putting the root end in a bowl of water until it sprouts and then replant it for new fresh veggies. Easy and economical!
From the post: Save money by re-growing food.
So, there you are. 5 ways to make your life a little easier! Think of all the extra time you’ll have now to make a yummy dessert, play with your cat, and start your garden! 🙂
