It is tailgate season! A fun time to root for your favorite team, getting together with friends and family, and, of course, eating yummy tailgate food!

So, there’s a football game going on this weekend… A little thing called the Superbowl.

No matter who you’re rooting for or if you’re just watching for the commercials and half-time show, this means Superbowl parties!

The final hurrah of tailgate season.  A fun time to root for your favorite team, getting together with friends and family, and, of course, eating yummy tailgate food!

So, this week I am taking a break from organizing ideas to share some of my favorite get-together recipes. If you are looking for easy, delicious recipes to wow your guests or family at the big tailgate party, you can’t go wrong with these.

Ready?

Whip up some of these awesome appetizers!

First up in our tailgate party food is classic spinach dip.

Make this classic spinach dip and score big at your next bowl game tailgate or New Year's Eve party! An easy to make, savory dip with an unexpected crunch.

It is so easy to make and I love how it’s creamy from the mayonnaise and sour cream, but also has the unexpected crunch of water chestnuts. I also love the fact that you make it the day before and let it marinate, so it is easy to prepare ahead and take along. I usually serve it with tortilla chips. Delicious!

Next up are the best crock pot meatballs ever!

Crock pot meatballs are the perfect get-together food. Only 3 ingredients, cook and carry it right in the crock pot, and everyone loves that sweet, tangy sauce. And there will be easy clean up, too, because there will not be leftovers!

Fiesta pull-apart bread is a yummy way to spice things up, whether your team is winning or not!

What? You don’t know what pull-apart bread is? Basically, you chop up biscuit dough into smaller pieces, coat it with seasonings and bake it. Then you pull it apart to eat it.  It’s easy to make and a big hit with everyone!

There are endless flavors of pull apart bread, but my family and friends really like this savory Tex-Mex version. We call it fiesta pull apart bread.

How about some classic Cheerios and Chex snack mix?

Cheerios and Chex snack mix recipe. This classic snack is perfect for a fun get-together, tailgate party, or just a delicious anytime snack (and this recipe makes a lot!).

Chili and pizza are both great tailgate party items.

Why not combine them into one scrumptious dish?

Stuffed crust chili pizza!

You gotta have dessert, right?

How about Clingons? (Think Rice Krispie treats kicked up a notch…)

These Clingons are an easy dessert made with cereal, not the Klingons from Star Trek! 😉 They are called Clingons because you pull them apart to eat them. They are crunchy, chewy and sweet; full of rice and corn Chex, marshmallows, peanut butter and M&M’s. What’s not to love?

Not those kind of Klingons! Clingons - easy dessert you pull apart to eat. Made with Chex, marshmallows, peanut butter & M&M's. Yummy!

And who can resist brownies?

In honor of my hometown team, the Ohio State Buckeyes, here are Decadent buckeye brownies!

A new twist on an old favorite that are simple to make using brownie mix. I think these taste just as good as the candy!
