This easy chicken parmesan dish is a family favorite, takes 5 minutes to prepare and is on the table in 30 mins. A healthy yet tasty dinner for busy days! Because it can be a real challenge to come up with a healthy yet tasty dinner on a busy week night. If you have kids, you probably have a lot of activities going in the evenings and don’t have a lot of time to cook once you get home and before you have to rush off again.
If you’re like me, I bet you sometimes find it a real challenge to cook something healthy yet tasty every night. I use my crock pot a lot. But the downside of crock pot meals can be that even though it’s great that they are ready when you walk in the door in the evening, they can take a bit of prep time in the morning that I don’t always have. So, I prepare a lot of skillet meals, too. Can I get an amen? (Please tell me you do the same!)
But this ridiculously easy chicken parmesan is another stand-by in my fast and easy weeknight meal repertoire. It uses frozen breaded chicken patties, jarred sauce and sliced provolone cheese. The sides are fast, too. I serve it with a quick salad or package of steamed frozen broccoli (5 minutes) and toasted garlic bread(10 minutes). See? Super easy!
So, here’s how to make it!
Ridiculously Easy Chicken Parmesan
Ingredients:
(This post includes some affiliate links for your convenience. Click here to see my full disclosure policy.)
Frozen breaded chicken patties (I use Tyson)
Jar of your favorite spaghetti or pizza sauce (I prefer Ragu)
Sliced provolone cheese (I use Sargento)
Directions:
Place the chicken patties on a jelly roll pan (the kind that has sides).
Spread a few spoonfuls of sauce onto the middle of each patty.
Top it off with a slice of provolone cheese.
Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
The cheese will get bubbly and lightly browned and the chicken will be cooked through and crisp.
That’s it! Super simple and really tasty! Here’s the printable recipe.
Sides:
As I said, I serve it with steamed broccoli florets (I use Birds Eye). To prepare the broccoli, I add a spoonful of Brummel and Brown spread and a few shakes of garlic salt to give it extra flavor for very few calories. If I don’t have frozen veggies, I add a salad and we usually have garlic bread, too.
A delicious, hearty meal that everyone in the family will love. Easy to make, easy clean-up and tasty, too! Woot!
Let me know how your family likes it. I ‘d love to hear from you!
Happy eating!
~ Pam
